What’s Coming to the Triangle
🏠 HomeSense Is Coming to Holly Springs
HomeGoods’ bigger, bolder sibling is moving into the old O2 Fitness space at Holly Springs Towne Center. HomeSense is a TJX brand, like Marshalls and TJ Maxx, and it sells furniture, lighting, rugs, art and kitchen stuff. There are only five in the whole state. No opening date yet, so your living room has time to start saving.
🎒 Apex Outfitter Is Opening a Second Shop in Downtown Cary
The Apex gear shop that’s been outfitting hikers and paddlers since 2012 is expanding for the first time, with a new store on Chatham Street. The owners are planning a celebration on Friday, Nov. 6. Downtown Cary just got a lot more fleece-friendly.
🍝 Maggiano’s Little Italy Is Coming to Crabtree
Maggiano’s is taking over the old Brio Italian Grille space at Crabtree Valley Mall. It’ll be the Triangle’s second one, after Southpoint in Durham. North Raleigh can finally get family-style pasta without crossing county lines. No opening date yet.
🍦 Pittsburgh’s Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream Is Coming to City Market
Millie’s is opening its first North Carolina shop at 325 Blake St. in downtown Raleigh, right next to Blackbird Books and Coffee. They’re aiming to open before the end of the year. Books, coffee and small-batch ice cream on one block? That’s a Saturday plan.
🏒 A 16-Story Office Tower Is Planned Next to Lenovo Center
The development company owned by Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon filed plans for an office tower of up to 16 stories beside Lenovo Center, near Edwards Mill Road and Wade Avenue. Construction could start in early 2027, once N.C. State football season wraps. It’s the first big piece of the arena district Raleigh approved back in 2025, and a sign West Raleigh is about to look very different.
