One of my favorite parts about Apex is the quaint downtown Apex district. And while it is small, it packed full of things to do on any day of the week!

The Beer Dispensary
Try a local brew from The Beer Dispensary. This family owned business is a cross between a beer grocer and a very small bar. You might call it a micro bar serving micro brews. The Beer Dispensary carries 900 different labels, 200 from North Carolina.
There are just a very few seats so you should probably plan to take your beverages to go. And note their limited business hours: Open Tuesday – Saturday and they close fairly early on weekdays. But patrons love the unique options available in the store and they are pet friendly, so don’t hesitate to stop in if you’ve got your furry friend with you!
Common Grounds Coffee
Cozy up with a cappuccino in “the living room” of Apex…Common Grounds Coffee .Common Grounds serves coffee, dessert and ice cream year round. Because is it ever too cold for ice cream? And they are known for their fantastic and friendly baristas, who always make you feel at home.
Buttercream Bake Shop
Feast upon fancy confections at The Buttercream Bake Shop. If you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, whether it’s for a special occasion or just a snack for the road, Buttercream Bake Shop is your place! They have a full selection of cakes, cupcakes, cookies and pastries. They also have a few seats if you’d like to sit for a coffee or hot cocoa with your snack.
Anna’s Pizza
Grab a slice at the infamous Anna’s. Anna’s sells pizzas by the slice or the whole pie. Their New York Style crust is ah-ma-zing! So crispy and chewy and folds over just the right way. Anna’s is not just pizza. They serve a full Italian menu.
