A little bit about Chapel Hill
Chapel Hill is one of the three major cities making up the Triangle region of North Carolina. Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill make a literal “triangle” on the map, responsible for the regionally known name “The Triangle.” The city of Chapel Hill is located in both Durham and Orange Counties. As of 2016, the population of Chapel Hill was approximately 59,000 people. That population does include all UNC Chapel Hill students living on campus or within the city limits of Chapel Hill. With the University’s population of 29,000, the student population is significant in the makeup of the city.
